The Audi test drive resulted in an Engine Management Light and limp mode 🙁 Diagnostics give DPF errors so going to try a Regen if my Lauch X431 can do it!
Also time to get shot of some stuff… The scrap Mondeos up for sale and time to start pulling bits from the Passat to try recoup the losses!

You shouldnt do forced regens yiu should use cleanjng fluid snd a pressure gun similarmto how oriley does them
Abs unit, drivers master window switch,
High pressure fuel pump. And the inlet manifold.
Had a similar issue with a Van I bought, kept going into limp mode, I did the regen and it seemed fine for about a month and then came back. Turned out it was a clogged EGR valve. If it's easy enough to get to on the Audi I would pop it out and check the state of the valve as it was a free fix with some brake cleaner. Might even be worth taking the one off the Passat as a spare.
