i have 06 a4 sline,, after replacing the brake pads for some reason the
break is not working ( when i step on the break it goes all the way to the
wall) help?
explain the procedure you did while adding fluid. how did you make your car
level? did you drop it on all 4 wheels while adding fluid and then jack it
up after fluid was added? I’m curious because how would you know its level
when you can’t crawl under the car when its on all 4. just sounds like a
PITA unless you have 4 jack stands
I appreciate your efforts, but you CANNOT put in new fluid with out warming
the transmission to a certain temperature. If you can ever get your hands
on the manufacturers book (not owners manual) you’d know that. You could
also check with your local Audi service department.
Good info… Chuckling though at the sight of the floor jack buried in the
loose dirt at the 4.02 mark. No way in the world I am sticking my head
under that car like is shown.

You can add a zero to that assumed transmission cost. Nice video, it serves
as a good reference point, however, it is a little worrisome that someone
with so little mechanical experience is instructing other people. People
should be sure to do their own research in addition
and i didnt catch the crappy intro either. Like everyone else asked, how do
you accidentally drain the wrong fluid? first off there are soo many bolts
under the car, how did you JUST HAPPEN to remove the tranny plug? maybe
just save your trouble and have a pro do it. yeah def have a pro do it.
derp.
LOL…I guess I’m not the only one who drained the transmission fluid
instead of the engine oil then. I’ll have to get to the Audi dealer for
some fluid tomorrow. Wish I saw this video earlier though. Good job &
thanks for posting the vid!
I love all these people try to make it out like this guy is trying to
perform rocket science! haha Its not hard to change tranny fluid people get
over yourselves!!! haha
How in God’s name do you drain the transmission by mistake? Are you sure
you are safe to be doing jobs of this nature? Please don’t work on your
brakes: for everyone’s safety.
hey matthew , i was watching this video (flush trans fluid S4) and could
not get a good look at the fill-hole or where you put in the trans fluid.
Is it on the side of the trans case? Also which side (driver or passenger)?
thank you for sharing and posting these videos / you have helped us out a
great deal about DIY on our Audi cabriolets!
there’s two plugs under there and if you are not careful or a beginner you
will drain the wrong fluid. This is smart for a person that don’t want to
be rip off by Audi or other repair shop. I have a 2001 and this will help
me. I use to own a BMW and it’s no different than that procedure. Great
video.
Good for you! Scary but now you know.

Nice video! Clean car!
Matt… My A4 B6 does not even run anymore. Could it be that my car is out
of transmission fluid?

Good stuff bud..
Common people, stop hating. Just because he owns a s4 and likes to take
care of his car himself.
when he said that transmissions cost at least $100 or $200 to replace on
that car…..that was a joke right?

Augie’s has group transmission changes each Tuesday night. Check it out.

this car. I’m happy to see someone else working on their own audi

Pro tip: you don’t have to work off the dirt…put some cardboard or
newpaper atleast under you to keep you clean.
transmission to replace on an audi s4 does not cost to replace 100 or 200
bucks……..
Where is the /facepalm key at??
I am not really the best one to ask – seriously – have you watched me? Is
your car an automatic or manual transmission?
i like this video ’cause safety first is always attended…no protection
devices anytime anywhere….
How in God’s name do you drain the transmission by mistake? Are you sure

by any chase would low transmission cause your gears not to engage when the
car was on
They look identical and are like 6″ apart.
