love the music. i have an old a8 its not given me any probs at all its done
105000 miles. i do need a timing belt a costly job at the garage so iam
going to do it myself. i dont think these cars are hard to wotk on as long
as you plan how to do it first
I seriously wanted to buy the Silver 2006 Audi A6. But this video is the
reason why didn’t want to get it. Damn, it was super clean but, I got a
silver 2006 Lexus GS430 instead. I’m waiting on Lexus to make the GS-F with
the V8. Imma get the Silver one with black interior. I might chrome tint
every window on the car and send it to my other house in Bahamas.
$1000 + Tax Yes Royal Auto will be able to Fix the MMi system Thank You
like hell
wauuwwwwwww!!!!!! amazing!!!!! omg!!!
You really don’t need to do that much disassembly. The ONLY reason the
bumper needs to come off is to get the socket on the crankshaft so you can
remove the pulley. It’s close, so close that a socket cut in 1/2 just
barely misses working (I tried). After that discovery, I realized the
bumper assembly only needs to come out a few inches. Granted, you’re
working with a straight on view but you’re only reaching down to for a
short amount of time.
How much do you charge charge the same service on a 2005 Audi A8L? And can
you fix a non functional MMI system?
If the timing belt rips…..does it damage the engine?
If it costs $800 for timing belt and water pump replacement on an A8. Then
why does it cost between $1,700-$2,100 for my A4. That’s why I do it myself!
How much for the job if you don’t mind me asking?
very good answer. I liked the chair part. i though we only at our shop
chair to hold parts on … 🙂
$800 is a great deal for parts and labor!
could i see the slow version
He didnt pin the camshaft with the special tool, there’s also a crankshaft
stop that needs to in also.
Exactly why I won’t buy an Audi. Any top notch luxury car should have a
maintenance free engine with the exception of plugs/coils and of course
oil. Audi says longevity yet every 50k you have to do this job to the
car… I understand these cars cost more money to maintain but that should
be left for drivetrain and suspension parts.
how much is it to get the complete timing belt job done with the serpentine
belt, pulley and tensioner?
a timing belt is a service item, just like a fan belt. you replace it at
the spec’d interval, and it has nothing to do with reliability. besides, an
old 2-valve American piece of shit car will have problems with fuel
injection systems, wires cooking after exposure to too much heat, etc.
everything VW makes is reliable if you do the service at the correct
interval.
yes you are right , if you don’t know what you’re doing, then you
definitely need to use special tools. Regards ROYAL AUTO SERVICE
Btw I also checked your previous videos. You did amazing job for bmw 745i.
very impressive. I fucked it up before 🙂 If the customer did not come
back. Good Job.
What a great video
Is that 800$ with parts or just labor?
did this on my son’s 2001 A4 1.8t in my friends garage , what a pain in the
ass . now the water pump is leaking after 2 years.. these cars are hard to
correct if they’re not taken care of from the beginning. this one had been
severely neglected before my son had bought it . i ended up having the head
rebuilt and replacing the turbo as well . great cars when everything works
🙂
?what kind of reasoning is that EVERY car on the road is going to have some
kind of brake, down, Every car that has a timing belt requires replacement,
audi never claimed reliability, and quality these days means it only needs
oil changes for the first 2 years of its life, after that you have
breakdowns. that’s why these royal guys are in business. if you want
reliability buy and old american car with a 2valve pushrod, you’ll never
have to replace the timing belt , and 9/10 times they’re easy.
