Thundercat: I recommend you run the same type of setup at my brother’s
legend. Put 6.5’s up front in the doors, and 6x9s in the back. You may have
to do some modifications to the rear deck to fit 6×9, I beleive the factory
hole is for a 6.5. You’ll have to use a dremel tool or saw or something to
cut a hole for 6×9 size and sit the speaker on the upper part of the rear
deck instead of under it on the metal frame. Brand of speakers for this?
Any name brand, but i would recommend atleast 2 ways.
For your head unit, use whatever, they all do the same thing. I like
Kenwood headunits. Subs; Kickers all the way. if not, then MTX. If not
that, then anything as long as it’s better than FLEA MARKET. And same goes
for amp. You’ll notice that technology with amps varies and so do their
prices. Stick to the numbers and you’ll be fine, don’t be too cheap. And
don’t fall for all the billion watt, 6500 watt at .5 ohm bologni ads and
badging. Get something legit with real figures.
Okay, for Thundercat: The KICKER CVR at 12Inch is 400RMS and 800 peak. Just
google Kicker CVR, you’ll get numbers for all sizes on the CVR. For the
money, this is all around the best brand speaker you can buy in terms of
subwoofers.

The factory amp was gone a long long time ago. The whole thing is redone.
The headunit pushes two 5.25s upfront, and two 6x9s in the rear deck.

I honestly have no idea. It was my brother’s CD and car, he listens to a
lot of Old School stuff. I would guess early 80s or something. sorry.
