Hi , thanks for the video i thought this transmissions had an internal filter but thanks for ur video i replaced the filter for $20 which i bought at advance auto parts and it fit right in without leaks now my transmission shifts smooth, before when you were to take off at low speeds the transmission would kick, not nomore i guess is because filter was clogged, again thank you very much for the video . 2001 acura tl

Michael McKinney says:

what tool did you use to remove the bracket for the transmission filter? do you happen to have the product#? im having some difficulty removing that bracket.

RatchetsAnd Wrenches says:

I would do drain atf, replace filter, Refill. gl

EdDy4RheelZ says:

I have a question. Do you have to drain out the transmission fluid first before replacing filter or is it vice versa? Thank you. I have 2003 Acura TL S-type, so it’s a similar second generation Acura TL.

RatchetsAnd Wrenches says:

I assume you’ve had it since new and never changed it right? Because Wars have been fought over this question lol, but I fight on the side of leaving it alone. GL
