Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com. Today you’re gonna be taking a look at the Michelin rear wiper blade on our 2016 Acura MDX.Now, all MDXs are going to have that rear glass and the rear wiper blade on the back here, which is a really nice thing because when it’s raining or snowing or anything gets on the back glass, we can use our wiper. Just wipe it off, and we can see clearly. However, you could see ours here, it’s actually torn, so it’s really not doing a good job anymore. It’s only wiping part of the window, which is more annoying than not being able to see at all, so we’re going to go and be replacing this.A lot of people are kind of unsure of how to remove these. It’s actually really easy.

We’re just going to lift the arm up, and we’re going to rotate the blade away from the arm. Then you just want to work the blade off and just slide it off. Now you want to let this come down and place it on the windshield. You don’t want to leave it up because this arm will definitely crack the windshield if it comes down.We can grab our new blade now, but you can see in the center here it’s going to be open. That’s because our kit is going to come with several different plastic clips that we can use.

It just depends on what we need to. If we get our old blade and look at it, we can see that it’s just going to have that single rod going through the middle, so we want to find the adapter that’s going to fit in here that looks like this one. This is the adapter that we’re going to be using. Now you can see there’s a little notch right here that’s going to go around these two tabs, so we’ll just line it up like that. Then at the bottom, again, we’ll have a little notch to line up with this section right here. Just want to get everything lined up.

Once you have it lined up, we’re just going to press it into place, make sure it locks in. Then it’s just a matter of reversing everything that we just did. We’ll lift up the arm. We’ll feed the wiper in there so that that round bar that goes across goes into the hook section. Then we’ll just rotate it, make sure it locked in.Now that we have our the rear wiper on, I’ll go ahead and spray it and make sure everything’s working properly.

You can clearly see out the back window. That’ll finish up your look at the Michelin rear wiper blade on our 2016 Acura MDX.

What blade are you using? My rain x expert fit didn't come with the extra fittings.
