[ENGLISH] EP54 2016 Acura RDX Rear Shock Replacement DIY

Posting 2016 Acura RDX Rear shock replacement
it’s simple install which you only need to remove 17mm & 14mm nuts
I used KYB Brand instead of OEM. OEM is much expensive and
heard not great as well as KYB
Here’s part list for all 4 shocks for KYB (Front & Rear)

Front Right: 3340164
Front Left: 3340165
Right & Left Rear: 554406

Please note that i made a mistake placing bushing upside down and fixed it.

Please let me know if you have any question

Thanks

Mraw says:

Great video. Where is the rear center jacking point to put both sides on jack stands ? I can't find this information anywhere?

Ya Law says:

Hey, Did you by any chance make a video of replacing the front shocks?

Macly Y P says:

The top reap bumper was took off the inside but u replaced it outside…??

I hope you can reply by today because I’m doing this job tomorrow and don’t want to mess up. My question is about the bushing orientation, did you feel or hear a difference between how you had it installed throughout the video vs when you corrected it? Because in the picture of the product on the KYB website it shows it exactly how you were installing it before the correction. Did it fit in more flush? Btw thanks for this video it really helps us RDX owners with clunks in the trunk.

Energy X says:

You mention correct orientation of the bushings and top washer, but where did you find that information? I just installed a set of these shocks exactly the way you did (after you corrected the bottom bushing) because it made the most sense to me, but I saw another video where he had the bushing and washer flipped. Thanks for the video!

can you please post the KYB model numbers. I have a 2015 RDX base. Would it be the same shock absorber?
