Customer Spent $4000…and it STILL Doesn't Start! (Acura MDX)

Customer Spent $4000…and it STILL Doesn't Start! (Acura MDX)

The owner of this 2010 Acura MDX has been waiting for a month for me to make the trip and diagnose his unpredictable 2010 Acura MDX that intermittently refuses to fire up.

The green “Immobilizer” key blinks on the dash when the car is acting up, setting a mysterious “D-2” fault in memory.

This was a tough diagnosis due to the intermittent nature of the problem.
You will NEVER guess what the problem is!

Mr B says:

My hunch from scope data was partial short to power but was thinking it likely harness in column area .
Keith saved the day and potentially some dollars for the customer, that a sucky fault but if you went into that kicker panel you probably sussed it unless already called a module and not double checking the call .
That poor guy blew some serious dollar but he took it like a champ. I not spent 4K in repair and service of my old 2000 sf forester in more than 12 years of owning it lol .
