Acura RL Navigation Screen Wont Work – How To Fix A 2005 – 2008 Acura RL Black Screen or Dead Screen

The navigation screen goes black or locks up and freezes. The main cause of the problem is a faulty navigation DVD player located in the trunk. It was manufactured by Alpine and needs to be returned to them. This issue mainly occurs 2005 and 2006 Acura RLs when the components in the acutal DVD player. The DVD player is very easy to remove. First, remove the trunk carpet and remove the 4 bolts on either side of the DVD player. Kind of a tight squeeze as you have to go by feel but all in all it takes about 15 minutes to remove!

Found this video almost useless and think he could have helped himself out a lot just by cleaning the crap outta the trunk. WTF! Does he live outta his f’ing trunk? I’m bigger than he is and fit in the trunk without any real issue. It really helps to lay in it while removing those damn connectors as you are doing it pretty blind and the release lever for them is really difficult to push hard enough to release the connectors!

Hi. Listen to your friend when he says to check cabling, connections, and verify all issues BEFORE shipping anything out to Alpine idiots (and I do mean IDIOTS. Alpine was relevant in the 80s-90sat best).

Terrible video and your skills are Harbor Freight level (that isn't a compliment).
