After rope is installed spray glass cleaner on rubber as some lubricant
then always pull rope in the direction the of center of glass lifting
gasket over pinch weld not pulling against the pinch weld sides pull
towards center, top something you can also wrap the rope around your hand
for better pulling and control .40 years experience . good luck!
