that does look good ive had my 1995 single cab obs z71 for 26 yrs now and ive had several system set ups in it,right now ive got the dayton audio 408 dsp for my 3 way active set up plus subs but i have a helix dsp sitting here waiting to take the plunge and install it,once i do theres no going back,clean ride you got there,you never see any two door tahoes,i love them,i also have a 2005 blazer with a 6.0 cam and supercharger but i want to sell it and get just a plain tahoe like a 2007 -2014 im not going into the smart phone on wheels so to call it a vehicle thats 2018 and above,no way,never anyways yea im in texas too but i think i sound a lot more like a hick than you do bro haha i sound bad,i cant stand to hear my voice on a recording or something im like good lord i sound like a hick haha later bro.

I have a 99 obs suburban, can’t really find much information about the head unit. What all do I need to update it? I have a pioneer radio out of my 06 Silverado, the oem radios look the same. I’m wondering if the wiring adapter that’s wired to the new head unit is the same on the 99 and 06? I haven’t pulled the 99 radio out to check but I see some of them have clips and some are screwed in. Some have different wiring harnesses too. Is there any reliable information on what wires do what and what exactly I need to swap a new radio in?

How did you find out which one would be shallow enough? I looked around and it’s kind of hard to tell on some of them which ones will and will not fit

I went to Crutchfield what is the part number for the wire harness and adapter and how do I get in contact with them to connect the two pieces together to make it Plug and Play?
For some reason the top of my faceplate is bowing instead of sitting flush got any idea what's going on there?

Great video very easy to follow and I thought you have to buy a double din dash to install a dd radio. Clearly explained, appreciate all the part numbers also. Sometimes spending a couple extra bucks saved time and headache. Good job.

Always buy my car radios from crutchfield , the convenience they provide everything you need for your installation is available for your vehicle . I bought this radio a few months back installing it into my 98 Tahoe 2dr.
