In this video, we will show how to enable the rear brake replacement service mode in the 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 Volvo XC40 with EPB (electric parking brake) without using the OBD2 scanner / diagnostic scan tool.
During the service mode, the electric parking brake motor will unwind all the way allowing you to compress the caliper piston and replace the rear brake pads and/or rotors.
This procedure will also work with other Volvo models: XC60, XC90, S60, S90, V60, V90, EX30, EX40, EC40, EX90.
