@RSpi007 thank u
If all of the other lights along the console work, there is a chance that you have a bad bulb. Get an ohm meter and check the bulb. If the bulb is good, you should check to see if you are getting power to the socket. Giggle the key in the ignition, the car has to be on and the light switch on. Post back if you need more help, the ohm meter cost about $15 or less at most stores.
@RSpi007 I hava a volvo s70 and I replaced my bulb but it still doesnt work. I checked the fuse and its good. Any thoughts of what it could be?
The brake cable likely snapped under the car. Get the car on ramps or on jack stands and follow the cables to check the cables.
Great vid, can you help me remove or left my boot from brake handle. yesterday i pulled on my brake handle and heard a pop and now its disconnected. And I am assuming the problem lies under the boot at the handle.TY
thanks for all your helpful videos Robert. I wonder why there is very few videos on the v70 series. tons of videos on most volvos but the late 90’s v70 xc series. Thanks again bud.
Great tutorial. Thank you. It helped.
Hurrah! Glad it helped.
Robert., thank you. The video is straightforward and to the point. My wife bought her car with 100K miles on it now up to 155K. She dropped a pair of earring down into the console after work one day. We thought O NO, GONE FOR GOOD. Thanks to you, happy ending. Cheers
No, the 850 is a little different. I just posted a video on it a day or so ago.
No, you have to reach under the drivers side of the shifter and pull the bulb holder down out of the shifter.
very good, im assuming the shifter (PRND2L) can just pop up to get to the blown bulbs underneath.
The 850 is simular, not much difference.
would it also work with a 1995 850?
