I recommend only Lemforder or IpdHD full control arms (I don’t recommend Meyle, Febi, Trw, Pro Parts Sweden, Uro, Karlyn, or any other cheap aftermarket)

You know there's an easier way.
When you finish, don't forget to do the wheel geometry
UPDATE: I bought genuine Volvo bushings (stamped Volvo, straight from the main dealer). These are not expensive – expect about $70 for the two bushings on one control arm from Tascaparts.com – much cheaper that even a full Lemforder control arm. If you can press in the bushings yourself, going with Genuine Volvo ones is the best and cheapest way. The genuine bushings are MUCH stiffer than the Lemforder ones, and the rubber looks very different. The rear Volvo bushing (with one bolt) is #30760590 (steel arm 08-09) or #31360784 (alloy arm 01-07) and the front one (with two bolts) is #9465971 (should fit all 01-09 but ask Volvo first). This is from a Canadian Volvo site https://www.volvooftorontoparts.ca/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_product=42897964&ukey_assembly=5700869&ukey_make=0&ukey_model=0&ukey_driveline=0&ukey_trimlevel=0&modelYear=0
Doesn't seem worth the effort, new arms are cheap enough just replace the whole thing.
Hello there! Question, oem means original equipment manufacturer right? On the fcp page the lemforder control arm for a s60 it’s oem. Do you trust that brand? Thank you
Interesting why Volvo switched to steel control arms for MY 2007-2009. Is is only cost saving?
