Thanks for another great vid Robert!

RSpi007 says:

Lol, I hate when that happens. That was one of my early videos. Hopefully the newer ones won’t do that to you. Thanks for watching.

Enzo Benzina says:

Nice video, thanks your instructions should work for my 740, I got a little dizzy from the camera movement but your video was well worth it.

RSpi007 says:

You are welcome, glad the instructions helped. Those cords are hard to get started sometimes. It helps to bend a little here and there.

Thanks for the video. Just purchased one of our old company cars which is a 99 s70. One of the couriers left the antenna up when he went through an auto car wash. The repair was a little rougher than you showed, but I think it was more the replacement parts fault than anything. The tip of the cord was not flat enough to feed correctly into the mechanism. I just used some needle nose to flatten it a bit and bent the cord in the direction and fed and voila. Thanks again!

RSpi007 says:

You are welcome, glad it worked out.

Replacing an S70 antenna mast is easy… until you find out part of the cable has snapped off and is stuck inside the antenna housing. This video gave me the info and confidence I needed to finish the job. Thank you!

RSpi007 says:

Good. That is a very inexpensive part to replace and helps it look better, with the antenna down. 🙂

Tad Marks says:

This was a really helpful video I fixed the antenna and followed your guidelines. I am looking forward to seeing more of your videos on the S70 since I bought one just like the one in the video.

RSpi007 says:

I am not sure. I will check the next time I see one at the junk yard.

excellent how-to! helped me a lot on my 850 r.

Mumblix Grumph says:

Thanks for all the great videos! I just got a 95 850 turbo. A couple of minor things need doing, so I really appreciate these!

RSpi007 says:

Should be the same for C70.

You likely have to pull harder. Is it broke off in the motor?

Hojjat Eshaghi says:

Hi Robert
Thanks a lot for you video. I tried to change the antenna mast for my volvo (S70 – 1999). But I was not able to pull out the metal pieces to replace it with the new one. According to your video (from minuts 3:4o to 3:50) it seems very easy. Is it possible that it is different for volvo S 70- 1999 from your volvo on the video? What can I do? Thanks a lot for your help
Best Regard

Phil Homer says:

I just successfully installed my new antenna! Your instructions helped considerably. There were a few variations on my 1994 850 but the basics were the same.
In classic fashion the electrical connector was difficult to get apart and the covering in the trunk area was a little tricky to get out of the way. As well, I had to use pliers to work the old antenna loose in order to remove it.
I also made some extra work for myself by putting the top nut on before the new antenna was installed.
Thanks!

RSpi007 says:

Glad it helped.

jus10wayns says:

Thanks for the video. It took about the half hour as said and I had to turn on and off the radio to get it to thread. Saved me a lot of money instead of replacing the whole assembly with motor.

terranc88 says:

thanks….great job. made it easy.

Michael Leih says:

Thanks. The repair was easy with the video.

RSpi007 says:

You are welcome. Nothing like hacking into something trying to figure it out on your own. 😉
