It could be that you have a bad tach. I’ve had one or two tachs quit on me
while driving. The first one I installed has never failed on me. I have
switched it out from time to time making sure the ones I brought home were
fully functional, but after a while I put the first one I installed back in
and it hasn’t failed me since I got it 3 or 4 years ago. And it’s been
through a few cars. 🙂 However, I would strongly suggest testing the wire
first before tossing the tach for a replacement. 🙂

did this on my 91 240 dl (Clock for tach) but tach doesnt move 🙁
