Hi, The service light on my Volvo stays on only for about 0.2 miles of
first drive. Anytime I start the car, the light stays on for that short
distance of drive and then turns off. I tried what you showed. The light
did blink but it still is on. What does service light indicates? what kind
of service?? I just changed the Air and cabin filter, plugs, all four
shocks and flushed out the tranny then installed a new tranny filter.
Engine oil seemed good and not that old. I appreciate a little help. Thanks

My radio is completely out. Do you know how I would be able to somehow
reset it? I was told that a fuse may be blown out and that I may have to
have my radio completely taken out to replace the fuse.

okay this is kind of a random story/question i have a 2004 volvo s60r and i
just replaced the rearview mirror after i replaced it my sunroof, courtesy
lights vanity mirror lights garage door opener and wireless key fob stoped
working. all my fuses are good. i think it has to due with the uem sense
this new mirror uem isnt working or maybe i just need to reset the uem does
any one have any idea how to reset the uem or have any other ideas of what
i could do??

I’m guessing it will. The ’99 and ’01 are very similar mechanically.

You can’t use a second hand rear-view mirror. It’s one-time-programmed to
the car and can’t be reprogrammed to another car. If there was a problem
with your glass (the lava effect), then use your own PCB inside the mirror
with the spare glass. There is a threat in matthewvolvosite about this.

You may need to have the trip counter on A–can’t remember.
Would you know how to reprogram the computer on this v3hicle I took off the
battery for more than 4 hours a d now the remote wont work.=(
i suppose you wouldn’t know how to reset the actual message board on the
left side of the cluster gauges would ya, i installed a Alpine deck a year
or so ago and the SRS message has been on since cuz i didn’t disconnect the
battery when i installed the stereo

Thanks a lot. It works also on the V70 2003. The only difference is that
after switching the ignition to pos 2, it takes not more than 4 seconds
before the yellow triangle starst flashing, and it’s time to release the
day trip button.

engine cant accelerate above 2500rpm too. i am wondering what will be the
problem.
On my S80 2002 I did it like this; 1: key switch in 1 position and press
and hold the trip-meter. 2: Turn the ignition key to position 2, keeping
the trip-meter pressed. 3: If you keep an eye on the trip meter it will go
to zero and than after few sec it will show the previous value, 4: Then
release the trip meater button and a you should hear a beep. The important
part is to keep an eye on the trip meter and when the value changes, after
10 secs or so, then let go. Hope this helps
maybe related, but i had my ABS module fixed and to cancel the CEL (dont
laugh) but i had to disconnecct the battery and remove several fuses
related to the ABS–the replace and hook the battery up. I thought it was a
joke but worked. perhaps you may have to do the same?
