I’m not sure if this works with S80 1999 model.. Give it a try and you’ll
see!

it’s working on s80, 1999y?
Do you have your headlight switch turned on, when you switch hi beam light
on? Headlight switch must be switched on manually, when you want to use hi
beam. If that doesn’t help, there might be contact problem etc. You might
need to replace your hi beam switch.
Hello Quezacotl, thank you for answering my question, i checked it out and
the switch does not hold the hi beam lights on, so i guess i have to
replace the hi beam switch, thank you again for your time.
volvo v40 04 how to fix the hi beam light switch ? its does not hold .
Thank You
Well, you can try to disconnect your battery and let your car sit about ten
minutes without power and then see if that’ll do the trick. You might need
volvo scan tool and some pc software to indicate all the errors. With that
you’ll be able to scan all the error codes from your car.
You’re welcome. I have some more nice tips so stay tuned 🙂
My ABS light came on after a new alternator and battery were installed, and
i have new brakes, how do i disengage that dummy light???
sorry, not Bernard, TheQuezacotl
Bernard, U have any other tips to reset the warning of the Airbag or other
lights? Tks!!
Thanks for this. Looking forward to some more tips.
Does this also apply to my R?
As far as I know this should also work with you R
It is possible that there might be problem with your car ABS controller.
And there is no corresponding technique to reset that light. To make sure
that what is the problem, take your car to the service for analyzing the
error code what it’s giving. Or buy OBD bluetooth dongle (elm 327 1.5 works
with your volvo) and try Torque, an android app to scan error codes from
your vehicle computer. If problem is with ABS module, u need to replace
that or find someone, who can fix it.
