Shift cables bushing replacement: 45 to 60 minutes ($10 / $470 / $700

In this video I repaired the manual shift cable bushings that wear out at the transmission connection linkages. This should work on Volvo cars between 1993 – 1999, Volvo 850, S70, V70 vehicles with a manual transmission.

Hi Robert, the shifter on my 1995 Volvo 960 (automatic) is pretty loose. It doesn't matter which gear it's in, it just wiggles forward and backwards when you push it. Any way to fix it?

Having a hard time actually finding replacement bushings. Is it possible to buy from my dealer? They probably have the plastic one's though.

Leave it to Robert to find a BETTER and CHEAPER alternative than stainless steel or brass shifter bushings… 🙂 Great mod, Robert.
