There are 2 kind of filter, one is 1″ thick and the other one is 1.5″ the
one I had in there was 1″ but the replacement part that I ordered is 1.5″,
there are 2 slots for this in the cabin filter. looks like the 1.5″ will go
in there but i want to be sure that it is correct to do that. Anybody else
experience the same situation?
When I did mine, the replacement had the comb part in already but when I
installed it the bending made it separate from the filter element and I had
to pull it back out, re-set the “fins” in the comb and try again. I had a
question though. Did this vehicle have 2 filters, or just the one? Mine has
2 but I couldn’t afford to get both(The Carbon impregnated one is
EXPENSIVE).
I love the “do-it-yourself” videos for Volvo, because I have an XC-90 and
don’t want to have to rely on mechanics for every last thing. I wish you
would have invited someone to be your camera-person, however, because
watching the presentation gave me a headache. Like I have vertigo, or
something. But you have a nice, patient, trainer demeanor, though. Carry on!
There is only one filter on this car. What I meant by 2 filters was that
there are 2 slots like this |*|*| (Asterisks are where the filters would
be.) So there’s like a pre-filter and a regular filter.
Nice job, as always.
Nice tutorials Brian! Any chance you can do a transmission flush tutorial
on your Volvo XC90 T6?
Great video, but honestly you need to hold more the camera, it makes you
sick. Keep it up the great work
Where is the second one? I had heard that there was one for the rear set of
vents, but no luck in finding it.
great job amigo

@briansmobile1 I’ve read that some do. I guess it depends if it’s equipped
with the the air quality monitoring system. Mine has it.
