Curiously, my '09 has only one cr2430 battery.
I tried to pop open unit sticking key itself in opening. I hadn't needed to open it in a long time. I wasn't thinking. Thankfully I didn't break the key. Mine takes only one battery for the s80. I got screw driver to pop it open.
