So if I have a oil.leak from that part, I don't need to buy a whole new one? Just the rings?
この動画のおかげで自分でも出来ました!
This next ❤
So I have a Vector with about 150K miles on it and pretty sure this is leaking. Wondering if I should just put a new one on which is about $200 or if the seal is all it needs. Do these things fail often?
Thanks for the video, I am new to the Saab 9-3 and your info is very helpful.
If I buy a completely new vacuum pump, is it something I should be aware of, or can i just install it normally?
Thanks you for your video That what I noticed last night now job looks so much easy.
I have a 2005 9-5 with an auto vacuum pump and have not had any luck locating a new pump. Just three or four used ones on eBay. It’s frustrating. Tried looking up a rebuild kit for it as well with no luck.
I think that it makes sense to put a bit of oil in that chamber so that it doesn't run dry upon startup.
Mine has a leak as well. What were your symptoms beside the obvious leak. Did you have a clicking noise from idle. My mechanic reckons it could be the chain tensioner unless it is this???
Hey where do you order your auto parts from? Thanks
One tip…. When you put the pump back on, make sure the unit sits flush and is aligned fully before bolting back in. I made the mistake of putting the pump and bracket on and tightening only to realize (quickly) that the part inserted was misaligned a bit. If you continue to tighten, the pump will separate at the o-ring seal.
Scrapped my 2003 aero 93 in 2021 for 350 pounds worse thing I ever did after scrapping mynsierra xr4x4 and Mondeo st24v6 also my swift mk1 gti and my y reg BMW 320 not to forget my astra GTE in 1996
Done . Thx for the tips. Ditto to @nolanpratt4291. NOTE: my rings were 15 years old, leaking, but still rubbery.
This might sound strange but I replaced the big seal to stop it leaking oil and I’m sure the car seems to run much better! Like it’s got more power slightly and better response? Is that a coincidence? Must be surely??
Thanks Jacob, for another simple, informative vid from your archives! I’ve got oil leaks from the valve cover gasket (already replaced) and the vacuum pump. Ordering the seal kit for the vacuum pump today.
What is The torque on vacuum bolts ?
