Robert you specialize in Volvo or cars in general. I'm interested in buying and fixing up a 98 s70 to hopefully make a small profit…

Dillon Lammie says:

Hi Robert. Is there a way to open the hood of a 98 V70 that has the cable broken from inside the cabin?

fluidling says:

I've seen several of your videos and saved myself much needed cash. Good job.

Mike A. says:

My cable doesn't seem to be broken the drivers side releases but the passenger side is stuck shut

Hi Robert , my cable broke at the tiny-cylinder-shape-end that slide into the red handle,do you know what product No. of the cable ?
I've google it but not for sure; 9444027 or 9152048 or ? ; I can't not see very clearly on the photos that which one is with cylinder-end or ball-end . Thank you !

Is there a part number for the cable running from inside the passenger cabin through the firewall for a 1998 Volvo V70 XC? I keep seeing the cable that runs from latch to latch. Can the whole assembly be purchased new?
Thanks for any help.

Louis PüŠtank says:

Hello! The passenger side latch on my 850 no longer locks, even when I press on it with a screwdriver. Would you recommend a good cleaning and greasing or would I just be better off buying a new one? About to drive from Washington to California, so I don't think I want the hood not securely latched. Thanks!!

How make the bulbs at the end of cable?

Hi!
What is the lenght of the Volvo 850 hood cable?

Yuriy Bruks says:

Hi Robert,

I have check engine light on, went to autozone they told me its a turbo boost sensor. Do you have a video for this, is it difficult to change it yourself? Thank you for all of your great videos!!!

That cable did look ok but it may be a bit dry of oil perhaps.
For my motorbike cables ive made a funnel of putty around the end of cable jacket and filled it with oil, and hung it vertical overnight.
I do like lazy methods lol 😀

Michael Chitwood says:

Good video.  Thank you.

Mega Manski says:

Not sure if there is another video …but it would be interesting to hear how to open hood if you go to pull lever and latch is stuck / won't open

Sebastian Schwarz says:

Nice. I had to lower my drivers side latch to get mine to work. I'm waiting for a parking brake cable replacement video. Mine is frozen.

Chris Fredriksson says:

Ooooh! Finally Robert =D I haven't even watched the video yet, but I do believe it's great.. Gonna watch it when I lay in bed, perfect time to watch car videos.. But that means I stay up too late as well.. Oh well 😉
