I sent an email asking this question, but it could be helpful for others on
here as well.

In the PDF manual for Bluetooth, it mentions pressing Scan twice to
activate Voice Dialing. My ’04 XC90 doesn’t have a Scan button that I can
see (same as the ’05 in this video). Is there another button we can use
instead? I’m mostly interested in Siri commands. If we can’t use the Voice
Dialing, does Siri still operate properly by holding the iPhone’s Home
button?

GROM Audio says:

I guess that should be some sort of converter. That is the cons of putting
the aftermarket stereo – some of the original car functionality stops
working.

Mateoanthony08 says:

Do they make these kits for 2010 Nissan altima standard edition?? (stock
stereo w/o Bose system) thanks.

AutoToys says:

Just wanted to mention, if I remember correctly, this car is Torx screws,
so get that if you dont have it.

Ian Sander says:

wait so car should be off or on when this procedure is done

Id like to see a video that shows the iPod interface and how it looks on
the screen

CreativeEmpyre says:

So you cant use the 129 dollar kits for a volvo xc90?

GROM Audio says:

Off. You only turn on the key to move the shifter, then turn it back off.
Do NOT turn on the key if any of the climate control cables are
disconnected.

well about 4 months ago i email you or your company asking about the Grom
adapter for my nissan altima 2006 i sent the pictures but at the end you
told me not all the cars can have this grom usb system i asked if it was
another converter and the answers was NO

GROM Audio says:

Hello, sorry for the delayed reply. To receive the phone call you will
press NEXT track button on your factory stereo. You will need GROM-MST3
unit for Volvo XC90 and GROM-BTD Bluetooth Dongle. For more information
please visit our website.

Christopher Fowler says:

Word of warning. I have a 2004 XC 90 with indash cdchanger, premium sound
and OEM navigation. This adapter will not work as shipped. The GROM tech
said that I have to have a dealer turn the MOST security off in order for
it to work. Dealer said that they cannot do that. Returned

Efren calvario says:

You should make a adapter for factory cars that do not have those output
connections

GROM Audio says:

It really depends if your stereo has the plug for external CD changer or
extension port. If there is no plug available for the external device, the
only way to connect is via FM transmitter unfortunately.

jose zaragoza says:

hey man what Grom did u used

GROM Audio says:

The MOST security has to be turned off. On 50% of the cars it is off, on
the others you can turn it off. Some dealers refuse to do it for some
reason. Thank you for your feedback.
