On my Volvo S60 2.5 D5 2004, it says cannot connect to ECU

You should check for Vacum leaks, if that APP is to be trusted. At idle you should have much more vacuum then that as it supplies Engine mounts (front and rear) Break booster, and the EGR bypass valve actuator.Just sayin….
