DRLs keep not only the headlights on, but also the park lights on also. no
other manufacturer that i know of wires the park lights to stay on with the
headlights other than Volvo. most, if not all manufacturers set the DRL to
be the high beam headlight bulb on low setting

That’s what I thought. I think the 960 only had the low beams on but I
could be wrong. Volvo is also the only car I know that has only 1 rear fog
light on the drivers side.

All European cars have at least one rear fog light standard. There’s also
an option to add a second on some models diy.
