Ethan, thanks for your input. Auto AC systems are complex and most would
require a class to understand and properly service the system. The purpose
of the video is to give the owner the opportunity to see if the system will
work if some refrigerant is added to the system, which is what most will do
before taking the car to a service station. Thanks for the notes. Feel free
to post more comments with system explinations. I have no idea why this car
is low on freon other than being 17 years old.

Robert, I have enjoyed some of your other Volvo repair videos, However I
think this one really misses the mark with regard to servicing the A/C on a
960. Your video does not discuss any diagnosis techniques, or even get into
why this car was low on refrigerant. Furthermore, since there is only a low
side service port on the 960, the system must be evacutated to 29″ of
vacuum, and filled based on weight, which is especially important since we
can’t see the high side of the system. Much Respect.
