Hi Robert, I picked up a fascia on eBay, the one for MK5 Golf also fits the
Passat. Two additional items you’ll require is a wiring harness as the
Passat uses a quadlock connector and also antenna adapters as the Passat
uses Fakra connectors. I wrote a blog post about this when I installed my
Alpine unit to my Passat the blog post details the components I bought and
why. I’ve added a link to the blog post in the description of this video
for you. Do get in touch if you need any help.

Hi Chris I want to do this in reverse – take my Passat’s OEM unit out and
replace with a JVC KD-X50BT. What adapters/fascia components would I need
to buy along with the JVC unit, given that the OEM unit in the Passat looks
significantly bigger than the JVC. Grateful for any advice…many thanks
