Very helpful,thanks.
My window mech’ wont pull the window down to get to the two window screws?
How can I change or fix the Coming home switch on drivers door?
I have same problem with rear drivers door. Would be good to know how to sort it.
you can open the door from the outside but I will have to make a video so you can understand how to do it
thaaaaanks m8
Is it possible to (safely) remove the door locking mechanism whilst the door is shut? Rear driver side door is stuck fast. I think the locking mech is broken in the lock position. Can the door be manually open from the inside? Best video I’ve seen
Its the screw that you used it release it, if it is in the wrong position it will not fit properly. You have to adjust the screw out until it fits
i mean the keylock like the cylinder it doesn’t seem to want to sit properly on the exterior of the door
when you say lock, do you mean the key lock or the locking mechanism?
what problem are you having?
having a really hard time trying to put the lock back in to its place- is there some trick to this??? plz help
hi great helpful videos ..just to clarify if i leave the glass in should i wedge it in place..also is it the same procedure for drivers door?
When I get a chance I will try and make one for you.
Any chance you can do a Video of when the Golf MkIV rear door lock refuses to open and how you can open it
which locker do you mean? The Key one or the mechanism part?
how to put it back cauz im actually working on my volks golf 2000 and i did took off the panel but now i cant put the locker back because there is a part who is falling each time i’m tryng could you help me please ? 🙂
Replace thoose y’s with t’s lol
If u losen yhe bolts holding the glass and hold the glass to the yop of the door with tape. And lower the window regulator with the switch it will lower the guide and u can remove it without the need to remove glass. Its more time consuming but u dont have to worry about breaking the glass somehow.
The window should be fine where it is, but check it out yourself for your own peace of mind.
So if I leave the window in should I keep it all the way up? Will it come crashing down once I remove the motor?
Thanks for that
Alright mate, I fixed it the weekend. bought a full set, i think it was size 8 if I remember right. lol
You can leave the window, but the mechanism has to come out.
I dont remember to be honest, I will have to make sure I cover that in future vids.
Glad I could help, thank you for your kind comments
