►Like the engine, the air conditioning and heating system within your Mk7 VW Golf R uses a filter to eliminate any unwanted contaminants. Without the filter, the blower fan would pull in leaves, pollen, twigs, and other bits before sending them through the vents and into the cabin. When left in for too long, the filters can become clogged with debris or even covered in mold, leading to a stinky interior at the very minimum.
