Viper Racing says:

How many hours does it take?

A S says:

Is it worth cleaning EGR or only replace it? I have problems with EGR in Sharan, and I think cleaning might resolve them. Or should I go ahead and replace it so as not to waste time reassembling -> cleaning -> assembling -> seeing that it didn't help -> reassembling -> replacing with a new one -> assembling.
Thanks.
Great video!!!

Lirim Has says:

If i tune my car and do a EGR and DPF delete, do i still gonna have leak from the EGR ventil or not?

W Hobbszy says:

Make sure you replace to turbo pipe gasket otherwise you will likely have an oil leak!

Del Conway says:

Remove drive shaft.

walter davis says:

What was the code the gave for you to replace it.

Peter Long says:

Really great video, helped me out no end. I had problems re-using the turbo pipe gasket, a new one solved my oil leak issue and was £5 from VW. If you aren’t buying a genuine EGR you will probably need this.

PooJoe says:

I wouldnt charge no less than 200quid labour to do this.dont like it? Please by all means go find another mechanic to do this.i dont need the grey hair.

Emilia Maxim says:

I have a caddy 2017 same EGR, 80.000 km , I just wonder is the right time to take it out and clean it ?? Is worth it ?? Thanks

Shaun Ali says:

Iv just done this in my own car , I’m a plumber by trade I watched few videos before I started ! I thought I’d take of the valve to see how hard it was before buying a new one to see if there was any visible faults but all seemed ok just abit clogged up , I cleaned and put back plbit still faulty so I think electrics have gone ! Overall I didn’t think it was that hard and I did it on axle stands ! I took out drive shaft too! The only problem I had was the turbo return pipe has small amount oil leaking from top connection so when I replace the new valve I’m waiting for . I’ll make a video and do a step by step replacement ! Soo all diy people can give it ago but you will need many tools

Digger Lenny says:

Bloody driveshafts

harry Sellers says:

Removing the right drive shaft makes everything easier. Left hand drive cars have more room making it easier to remove the egr or the dpf.
