did you make a video of fixing/replacing the handle?
That looked like an aftermarket Coverlay replacement cover over the grey vinyl upholstered section. They're expensive. They do just screw in like it was shown. There should have been little grey plugs to cover the screw holes. It's the best solution other than reupholstering the vinyl door cards.
What did you sand with what grit?
What kind of white paint was that? did you paint the door jams with it as well?
