Hi, thanks for your question. The procedure will be similar on your vehicle and the bolt/allen sizes will be the same. Kindest regards, Team VWGenuineparts.co.uk

Hi there, could you tell me if the pads and discs you used in this video, are the same for a 2007 VW Jetta 2.0 tdi sport? Also, is tools and bolts/allen measurements the same as well? Regards Steve.

Billy Rexroat says:

Great walkthrough. Was extremely helpful in replacing the rotors on my Jetta.

The Cupra shares the same brakes as the VW R32 / Audi S3.
Thank you fro the comment.

VWGenuineParts says:

Hi Brad, thanks for your question. We are a Volkswagen retailer so don’t see a lot of Leon’s but the Mk2 is built on the same chassis as a Mk5 Golf so we suspect the brake set up may be very similiar. I suggest you pop a wheel off and see if it looks like the GTi shown in our video. We can supply any parts you need as they will be the same for Golfs. Kindest regards, Team VWGenuineParts.co.uk

Brad Hopson says:

I assume this would be the same procedure for the mk2 Seat Leon Cupra with the bigger brake size 345mm?

VWGenuineParts says:

Excellent! Thanks for your positive comments. It sounds like you’ve put the grease in the correct place. The rear pads/discs involve a special tool to wind back the caliper. We have a video for that as well so please check it out. If you need more advise or genuine Volkswagen parts you can email us through our website. Thanks again and kindest regards, Nigel, Team VWGenuineParts.co.uk

The video for the rear pads and/or discs is now live

VWGenuineParts says:

Hi! Thanks for your question. Once the disc is removed you will be able to see 3 x 8mm bolts holding the back plate on. Hope that helps! Kindest regards, VWGenuineParts.co.uk

Cavin Soo says:

Do you know how to remove the heat shield behind the rotors?

VWGenuineParts says:

Hi, thanks for your question. You would only need new discs if they are damaged, corroded or below the minimum thickness. Please ask someone with experience if you are unsure. To procedure for the rear pads is similar but they don’t have the spring clips. Again, if you’re not sure please don’t attempt them. We will try and post a video on rear pads as soon as possible. Kindest regards
