Great info here! The VW dealer said that the work would take a couple hours! Definitely didn't seem like a couple hours work, even though you sped up the tedious unscrewing of the screws! Thank guys appreciate all your DIY help!

Thanks a lot for this video! I had to change the regulator and wanted to remove/replace the cloth on the inside panel so this was extremely useful!
Question though: There are 2 types of T30 (8 long and 10 short) and the long ones either have thin washers (6 of them) or thick washers (2 of them) … since I did not pay attention about that difference when I took them off, I am wondering which goes back where?
Why do some window regulators come with that plate and some dont ? K and m code in 8th digit vin.

Is this the exact same procedure for the mk5 golf/rabbit? and is it essential to remove the inner door panel? I hear it isn't, but is the overall procedure easier if the inner door panel is removed?

Just a note about your video. You DONT have to remove the inner door panel. You can simply unbolt the plate that holds motor to the shell and unplug the connector, Also the factory info tells you to remove the side impact bar
