Morning BMAC VAGS, I have a query for you. I have a 1998-99 1.6 Golf, my
problem is my temperature gauge after a few minutes drive goes up to around
90 but all of a sudden it drops to 0 again. Could this be there thermostat
or the temperature sender? My fan in the car does blow hot air or cold when
selected so that may rule out there thermostat. Also i get a very slight
judder at one and a half thousand revs. My spark plugs are fine so could
the sender also cause this problem?? subscribed too 🙂

hello im using skoda fabia 6Y2 hatchback. can i use this method on my car
as well?

BMAC VAGS says:

What is the engine size of your vehicle? Have you subscribed?

BMAC VAGS says:

Is it a farty smell? Do you ever smell it at any other time?

H Sg says:

It is only when i turn the AC on. Because of the smell i just use the
blower fan. When the AC is on it smells like poop. Its not really petrol
but smells really bad. Its smells like rubbish. The mechanic said he
changed the oil and air filter…. Im guessing somthing dirty got on it? Or
its the wrong way around?

BMAC VAGS says:

I am in north London, where are you located?

BMAC VAGS says:

Without investigating it properly, all I can think of is a leak in the AC
system. You are smelling it only when it comes on because that it when it
becomes pressurised. If you was smelling it at other times I would have
said possible catalytic converter.

Thanks for the comment

H Sg says:

cwuzii says:

Good video. Isn’t the tappets a big problem with these MK4 1.4 engines?

H Sg says:

golf mk4 match 1.6. Just done 70k and i have replaced the cambelt n
waterpump. Recently ive noticed a bad smell when i turn the air

touched the filters. Im not sure what to do now…any suggestions?

BMAC VAGS says:

Is it just when you turn on the AC or is it the same if you just put on the
blower fan? Also describe the smell
