There may be a bolt or a push pin that fastens it to the grill that you would need to remove so that you can get the grill out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Does anyone know how reliable the 1.8t jettas are

I wish you guys would zoom instead of clip this thing here and that thing there when the camra is so far away and guy is blocking the view I can see what he is doing from that distance with small doodads

There will be a tag on the driverside door jamb with a paint code number on it. If you take that number to your local autobody supply warehouse, they may be able to mix a spray bomb for you, if you do not want to have an auto body shop do it. They could even tell you what you need to do to prep tha part. hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com

where do you suggest going to get a paint mixed? How extensive is the painting process?

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows you how to replace the taillights on this particular vehicle.

What about replacing the tail lights?

You should use anti-freeze. Water used by itself could end up freezing during the winter months.

Tony Montana says:

Hello! i have a question: i have a jetta 99 can i just use water for the coolant instead of antifreeze? thank you so much in advance =)

1aauto says:

We don’t. most emblems are attached with just adhesive, some however are bolted on. Not sure if these are bolted or just held on with adhesive. If you join a Jetta forum. The members should be able to tell you. hope this helps you out.

Thanks so much for this vid. Have yet to do this. But I now have the confidence to do so.
Do you happen to have any vids on removing the rear emblems?

flojo grande says:

Thanks, a debt of gratitude. Its simple a monkey could be taught but if your not taught you could foul something up real easy. All this plastic and stuff is really easy to crack and break…could turn into a snafu in a heartbeat. I bet VW makes a mint every year on all these little nick nack replacement parts. I needed to replace the little pull release tab with the arrow for the hood, $14. Mine cracked from wear and tear. I reviewed your video a second time as that little bugger was a S. O. B.
