This will work for a while but it is only a matter of time before the handle rips off from pulling on it.

I really love the "nice" flinging and moving handle…; = only 50% of the work done…..; but you are lucky that you still can lock the handle and that it will stay in position.

The glove box hatch was to heavy on my mitsubishi eclipse and the magnets are not strong enough to keep the weight of the glove box closed!! I even took everything out and still. Maybe I should buy another repair kit

Would this work on my 1994 Ford F-150?
It worked! However, I never saw a warning about screwing in too tightly and ended up partly shattering the magnet with the hole in it. I'm just using it anyway, though it does push the whole set-up past the flushness of the other side. So, the other magnet holds on to the top when open. But, honestly, I probably won't be opening it often anymore. Happy to have it off my passenger's knees. Thanks!

I just tried this … the magnet that he installs in min 2:55 is extremely fragile … the moment you tighten it a little more than needed, you’ll brake it … only tighten enough so that is not moving around
