Do this only while standing outside the car through the open window, in
case of a blowing airbag!
what did you do to by-pass the airbag system for the steering wheel? i’m
thinking of changing the wheel on my golf but it has an airbag equipped.
Think its a 12mm, email me and I will ask my brother who a vw designer

You don’t need a special Vw tool,. You can get a 12mm spline driver from
all tools or any good tool shop,. $16.95

supervising? Looked easy… I tried taking a steering wheel off a Camaro
Z-28 one time, the air bag inflated. I don’t work on cars anymore. Just
take them to a auto mechanic. Safer for me and anyone standing around.
