at 3:50 i found out a Torx T55 works well too.
help. why in vw golf IV/ bora. after removing heater core inside it is more noisy, than before removing.
i know, you need someone to shoot the video while you work…
what i wanted to know was, is the heated seat switch on the dash, removed by just pulling it, or it has a screw?
Sorry all I know about the VW is in the video, and this was 2 years ago. Sorry to all about any and all info that did not get into the video(s) trying to shoot video and work at the same time, well tricky. this is on the job not on the side work…. Sorry.
how do you remove the heated seat switch? i’m trying to remove mine to inspect it
did u do it by yourself ??
and how much do i charger for labor?
you skipped a huge part! suddenly the insterment cluster is out…I know VW well and I was looking forward to this part… >.>
In all it’s simplicity. when things are complicated enough, regular people take the car to a dealership for service.
I just spent a full hour trying to pull the dials out and no luck. This helps.. now why would the germans have to complicate things?!
the heater sensor s shot on my
heater unit
wiper & indicator stalks have to come off the colum too via the hex nut holding them on a collar to the top of the steering colum( dont worry it has a notch for relocation) just unplug the wireing from the back once loose and then let them hang.
you actually made the same mistake i did takin it apart, But i managed to pry the cables off the controlls. the Facia arround the heater controll knobs prys off and reaveals 4 more screws that leaves the controlls in place while you then take the radio and its carrier out making it real easy to remove the cables from the top of the controlls and remove the 2 electrical plugs. I just replaced the evap core
