This shows you how to replace the low beams in your MK6 jetta this is the same method that you will use to replace the DRL’s when they go however replacing the DRL’s is not a fun job to say the least.
I think the computer didn't tell you because it doesn't have that feature, but thanks for the vid it helped me out today.
The covers over the low beams do you have to twist to get them out or just pull straight back?
Can h7 lights go on a vw
I can't take the stupid cover off!!!!
great video…but THE HIGH LIFE is what you should be drinking…LOL
Man. I hope you got paid for that shameless old Milwuakee plug. Thanks for the video.
I can't get this damn clip undone!
TQ for sharing
thank you! cheers!
Old Milwaukee??? YOU DA MAN!!! Thanks for the vid….I'll give it a try today!
Old Milwaukee? C'mon bro, Schaefer
Guys, have any of you had any problems with your heated seats in your VW
JETTA 2013 MK6? My passenger side seat works and heats just fine, the
drivers side not so much. I checked all the fuses and they are good.
There is electrical power to seat as the auto recline works. Wiring
under the seat looks intact as well. A bit at a loss here, and not sure
where else to go. I need to look more under passenger seat and make
sure the wires are connected to driver seat? Any advice would be
appreciated.
VOLKSWAGENAUDI 1K6953123D GENUINE OEM SOCKET I think this is the part i am missing.
Question, I was trying to change my bulbs, and the right light is missing the black piece used to twist head light out. Don't know how it fell off (car is used), but do you know of a way to change the head light without the socket?
I have a '13 TDI w/Nav and I frickin' hate changing these bulbs. Y'all are right – the H7's don't last very long. I've had a hard time upgrading to a different bulb because I don't want to replace them after a short time, either. And on the dashlight warning, mine comes on when all the lights are working but never when I actually blow one. It's weird. The light will go off after a restart – usually.
Anyway, thanks for the visuals on this. No matter how many times I change 'em, nor remember EXACTLY how I took them out, I always end up forgetting.
Thanks again, dude.
Great help!!! My computer did not tell me that it was out either, a friend saw the low bean out on the driver side…thanks for your video help, Can't believer I did it myself! I have a 2011Diesel TDI Jetta
I think its a problem with the mk6 gen. same one went out on mine at 20k and replaced both just in case. lol
My headlight went out and the computer did not tell me it was out. I feel your pain.
thanks for the help… cheers from Argentina
METAL CLIP , can be installed backwards. If your having trouble like i did.,remove clip and flip it. Went in then. Tab facing down.
Very helpful
I'm pretty positive the dealership last pieces to my headlights. they just call out, and one doesn't have the black nob on the back. anyone know how to find that specific piece?
Mine has a wire clasp instead of the winged plastic one. Do you know if I can buy the one in your video?
H7's go out really fast I went thru 2 sets of those in 2 months and got HID projectors from eBay instead haven't had a problem since
thank you sir
why to they make it so difficult to replace a lousy light bulb?
lol you can hear the tdi engine a mile away..
My wife just got a '16 Jetta. I'm going to install HIDs in it, but F this. I'm taking the grill and assembly out. My hands are too fat and my patience is too thin for this shit.
on the diesels the computer will not tell you the bulbs are out until 2014 models. just the diesels the gas models will tell you but diesels will not.
