You rock! LOL I stumbled upon you guys somewhere in YouTube land – you know
how you just get sucked in – well I’ve watched up until here and had to
comment – not that I didn’t want to before I just wanted to go onto the
next one and so on – I’ve had missing parts and it’s worked – not the same
repair but I get it – to funny and cute – Here is where I subscribe and hit
play

I knew I wasn’t crazy when I told my wife that companies always put extra
pieces into their products that serve no purpose. I only worry when I have
more then 5 bolts/screw/nuts left over, under that we’re golden!!! 😉

carrabec99 says:

anytime a hot mama wants to do repair work is fine by me 😉 ty

Charles Wang says:

Hey thanks sklarm, you inspired me to give it a whack, so I did but but
“Bang” a Double Whammy, When I took my door apart I found that the motor’s
casing cracked open which ripped apart the regulator as well, good thing I
had no screw issues, and yes it can be a head ache if you do not have the
right tools for the job, it makes life easier, well its together, works
great, no screws or parts left over. Yay! Kisses :o)

Women working on cars makes me all tingly…you are awesome wendy and yeah
that job is a bitch the first time around..good job tho…save those extra
parts and when you do the job again which I am sure you will you can put
them back…

Nicole Ewart says:

Awsome, lol! I work for a dealer and have done many of these. A little tip,
take the carrier out of the door with the latch assy and harness, much
easier. And once you learn how the bowden cable and handle come out, these
are a snap! About 30 minutes. Thumbs up for going out and doing this repair
yourself.

johnnnyreb51 says:

Changed a headlight blub yet? LOL

GilBoettcher says:

my wife had this happen with her 1999 beetle, we took it to the dealer,
wish i would have done it myself

rogersdodgerz says:

Yay! You made something that sucks into funny & entertaining & actually
helpful as opposed to others who seem to try & emulate college
professor-like thinking & annoy me. Kudos!

Lalo Alcala says:

hi i have a 2001 beetle but its the gl model so it has the manual windows,
is it the same procedure to remove the door panel?

kwakman99 says:

@sweetwilliam61841 – But don’t do what I do which is put them in a
bag/tupper wear/box and forget to label them. I have countless number of
bolts, screws and nuts which for the life of me have no clue where they
came from because I wasn’t smart enough to label them.

pine tar says:

great job….always a few extra parts …….whats that building behind you
greenhouse?

MrWmc04 says:

Cool.. Fancy coming to do mine? Switch has gone on drivers side and window
won’t budge on the otherside!

Nicole Ewart says:

oh and forget taping the glass, just lift up glass out of regulator and
rotate pulls right out. and don’t over tighten clamps.

ninkybink says:

very helpful, my beetle is in for a window repair just like this and the
video will come in handy!

mysqueeker says:

LOL, a few parts seem to have been left out. LOL, to cute.

Berry Guam says:

you are the best!!

marksy1986 says:

the same parts on the same door! Thanks for the great help I have
everything dismantled ready for the replacement parts but I would really
like to know where you got you kit from?? I’m struggling to find the kit
you got? Thanks 🙂 Great vid

shartne says:

wow cool good job. I have a 2002 Volkswagen. I hope I dont have this happen
to me too.

Gill T says:

Surely you stripped it all apart again and put in the “infamous extra
parts” right? Kudos… most folks would have just put them in the secret
coffee can of “spare” parts and not said a word… Peace Gill

TimmmCruizer says:
