I'm shocked!

Davin Peterson says:

Carvana has to fix any problems with the car before they sale it to you

Davin Peterson says:

The American Automakers – Ford, GM & Chrysler care most about profit and reducing costs instead of good quality. They don't want to make a long-lasting durable vehicle as Toyota does.

DT NA says:

Best looking car TMC has made in a long time.

Encouragement to Scotty's subscribers.
1. Before purchasing my car, new in January 2005, I had a conversation with the Service Manager at a car dealer who supervised more than 20 bays. Asked what three things a customer could do to avoid problems, he responded that there only two that were common: a. failure to change the oil, and b. failure to service the transmission.
2. It is November 23, 2022. My car runs today like it did when it was brand new. Outside, it has road rash. Inside, the upholstery is splitting. Other than that, the car is clean

I explain how this became possible:
1. I cultivated friendship with two different non dealer mechanics. Fresh fruit from the home fruit trees even when service not necessary. One time it was a pile of Christmas gifts for the family no dealer mechanic.
2. I created a record on the computer of the date, mileage of every service provided No more clawing through a folder to find write ups I could not read.
3. I would create a list of requested services and buy any car specific liquids or parts and bring them with me.
4. I decided to do oil changes and transmission services more frequently than the manual recommended. The manual was designed on a bell shape curve of car failures. Just doing the recommended service timing was not a guarantee that every vehicle driven which had the service would survive a driver or driving condition.
5. I knew that every person working in a shop did not have 40 years of experience. Some had no idea that there were point on the undercarriage that could be lubricated. It wasn't in the manual, so they didn't know. I knew because I watched Scotty. So every time there is an oil change, I have list presented to the new guy in the shop of the points that could be lubricated under the car.
6. Conversely, I knew that there were guys with 40 years experience would try to lift a car at the traditional points and destroy bumpers. So, I spray painted lift points under the car with yellow spray paint.
7. I always asked which parts had to be OEM and which parts could be aftermarket.
8. Forget cleaning plastic headlights with a tooth brush and tooth paste. The car looks new because the headlight assemblies were replaced at Scotty's suggestion after 18 years.
9. I have lifetime alignment. 5 times.
10. I had lifetime brakes. That company went out of business.

Derick Elders says:

Scotty I’ve own a 2020 Silverado 1500, had an issue where my back glass leaked and caused an electrical issue where my keys and TMPS doesn’t work. Truck is currently at dealership, been there for 2 weeks as of this coming Monday. 40,000 miles on truck so it’s out of warranty. According to dealership already at $1,700 worth of repairs, including re-sealing window, new module for keys and new keys can you get ahold of me to help me with any class action lawsuits or anything that can help me with an obvious Chevrolet manufacturing issue.

Tyler Bryan says:

No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress in trading, you are still way ahead of everyone who isn't trying

lee shafer says:

Why can't they make a hybrid that can run on gas full-time if you want to or if the battery fails?

Steve Shattah says:

Okay everybody repeat after me… Don't buy any more GM products.

Bubba Fatas says:

This is the greenest car available! No coal plant required to charge!

Bizzare Human Breed says:

"diesel's aren't that popular in americas" have you been to oklahoma?

Kai Ponte says:

I hope this Prius is better than the previous generations. We have some Gen1 and Gen2 Prius econoboxes at work. I absolutely HATE driving them. Too small (even with the seat all the way back), noisy at speeds above five MPH, hard to see out the back with that stupid bar, and they go from 0 to 60 in about five minutes.

panasonik780 says:

the reason the diffs are built loose is to achieve better fuel economy.

Denzil Burriss says:

As usual……you are informative but you waving and screaming irritates everyone…..Listen to it sometime…..No I disliked for that reason.

MarlinMR7 says:

Now this makes far more sense in my opinion then going from full gas/diesel to full electric/hydrogen. The in-between as contrary to popular belief not every single car, truck, SUV that runs on gas/diesel is going to be gone by 2030/2035. Average price of an eletric is $60,000 – NO! If they would just make the Prius with a manual 6-speed or similar – perfect!

Hybrid now and for the foreseeable future…….

Electric/hydrogen or something else later…….

SpidySensesYou YT says:

I just love your videos Scott
That's soo much understandable

Michael Plunkett says:

Diesel has higher taxes on it. The states did it to get money without antagonizing voters who usually use gasoline power.
