Penske Toyota in Downey for over 700.00 dollars and with your video you
save me a lot of money. I was able to fix the overhead compass on my Tacoma

Harry, Yep, yours can be repaired with no issues. The burn spot is normal
oxidation (removal of oxygen from the vacuum fluorescent display). Check

My temperature is not displaying accurately. What do you charge to repair
the temperature compass display?
@scubahbca Yep, the dealerships do charge quite a bit for a new gauge.
However if you send it in to us, we will repair it better than new…and a
three year warranty.

Kayla, You can, *but*…you will most likely need the entire overhead
console; as that contains the plastic design you will need for mounting.
You may or may not have the ambient temp thermometer (sending unit) and
wiring; just take a look and see. You will have the power plug; so worst
case scenario you have a working compass and no temp. Good luck and let me

Can I put a used/reman unit in my 07 Tacoma, even though there wasn’t one
before? Anotherwords, do all the Tacomas come with the wiring available to

I busted the electrical clip holding the driver side lamp light while
installing led replacements. (it was actually busted before I even started
but just hanging on. I just finished the job). Can this be repaired? Can

I took mine apart, and apparently it actually burned the display. like when
you press too hard on a calculator screen and it is permanently black on
one side….. any suggestions other than getting a replacement?
