Toyota Owners PLEASE NEVER DO THIS TO YOUR TOYOTA! I have been talking about this for as long as my channel have existed and I hope you all follow this recommendation to avoid issues and have your Toyota for a very long time without issues.
It breaks my heart every time I speak with a Toyota Owner who has an oil consumption problem in an engine that wasn’t affected by any manufacturing issue simply because they didn’t catch the 10k oil change in time.
It is one of the worst ideas and one I wish would change in the future. Please change your oil in your Toyota engine every 5000 Miles or 6 months whichever comes first. Use good quality oil.
The owner of this 2015 Toyota Camry is one of the nicest folks I have ever met. He had to find out this way why a 10k mile oil change interval is not a good idea.
Hope this helps everyone avoid issues with their car with proper maintenance, care and understanding of why things are done at specific times and intervals.

I know too many people that echo the same sentiment. 'Oh you're not the engineers of the car are you? Then please sit down'. And I just forward your videos and watch them cry. It is such a small cost. Less than a tank of gas these days. EVERY SIX MONTHS. Why are we even talking about it?
@15:25 – Oh come one now, AMD. Be fair. Engine re-manufacturers don't use "zip ties and glue." They are professionals !! The use DUCT TAPE !!
I bought a 2005 Lexus RX330 in 2009 with 35,000 miles, changed the oil every 5,000 miles and traded it in on a 2017 model in 2021. It had 268,000 miles when traded and still ran great. I use Mobil One in all my vehicles and the factory filter and have great results. Our 1991 LS 400 had 330,000 when it was hit a traffic light and totalled. Lesson is change your oil frequently, it is the cheapest insurance you can buy.

I would never go past 5000 miles on oil changes.
Simple oil education but with proof. I tell folks many times, use good oil regularly.
Greetings from the Netherlands! I listened to you advise and change my engine oil every 7500km. Every time it’s a discussion with the dealer… I have a corolla hybrid 2.0 station. The manual says 4.3 liters oil but I fill it with 3.5 liters and the oil indicator says it 3/4 full… the toyota dealer filled it with 4.3liters and it was over the indicator point. I had to go back and and they had to extract some oil out of the engine so that it just below the above indicator point… But what do I have hold on to 4.3 liter from the manual or the indicator stick?
EPA extends oil changes to save the environment. Don't care about cars getting dumped after 10 years because they are just not worth maintaining/fixing. How logical of them! Can't wait for their great plan of EV's everywhere and lithium being disposed at an alarming rate to "save the environment".
Just like trusting the engineers to use 0w-20 oil in tropical Africa, that oil doest perform well in hot countries. Is just too thin.
