TOYOTA OWNERS! Always Get a Second Opinion on Big Repairs! Almost Totalled!

Dear Toyota Owners,

It is not a secret that the automotive repair industry is a challenging one for those who are not familiar with cars and in this video we take a look at a prime example of that.

This beautiful 2007 Toyota Avalon with 281,000 miles have some issues that caused 2 mechanics to basically condemn the car and tell the owner to sell it and move on.

However after some diagnosis the fix was actually a lot less serious than what they originally anticipated. And after a more thorough inspection we’ve found a few things that they totally missed on this one.

Car owners should always get a second opinion when it comes to major repairs especially those that involve replacing components that otherwise seem to run perfectly fine.

I took my 2002 toyota sienna with 150k miles to my closest toyota dealership for a tpms, brake, and abs light flashing and since there was no code from ecu for these lights they could fix it. They told me that the car needed an electrical diagnostic and it was going to cost me $500 more on top on the diagnostic fee. I did some research and decided to change my abs module I got one from the junkyard and fix the issue 10k miles later still no issues.

Typical cheap quality leather. Toyotas are famous for using cheap leather that tears.

Here is a question, are short commutes bad for hybrid engines ? My oil doesn't even get up to temp and I'm at my destination, it's a 1.8 L 4-cyl hybrid Toyota… I'm worried about damaging the engine in the long run…

Sj Tube says:

Thank you. Your honesty is to be admired I wish you were closer than 11 hours away

Jimmy velasquez says:

I doubt the dealership told that customer that. Its okay if you need views or content but i doubt it you were once a dealership mechanic so I wouldn’t knock them for your own gain

rictic1 says:

I have a friend, as we speak, getting big time ripped off by a mercedes dealership who did work on her car and screwed the engine up and are now trying to cover their tracks. It makes me angry, and like Amed said ,they couldn't pay me enough to drive my car for service at a dealership.

Gabriel Merza says:
