toyota is full of crap they say this all the time… while Tesla already has a million mile modelx (with expected repairs)… Tesla is the only real EV company… everyone else just tryna drag it out
They HAVE solid state batteries already, what they DONT have is the increased range and the batteries as they are no wont last as long as lithium batteries even. Theyre also incredibly difficult and expensive to produce. Just understand that the technology IS already there. Everything is currently in the optimization process as we speak.
Good point about waiting for an EV but Scotty will never buy an EV because he keeps mentioning he is a cheap skate
I've had my tesla 2 years and love it, only had to have the windshield replaced due to a rock chip, but insurance covered it. 10 year battery and motor warranty and its full everythime I leave the house, not more last miunte gas station stops before work.
Toyota made this claim years ago and it was suppose to be released already. Big claims but a nothing burger.

Hydrogen is the future, not electric.
The guy with the Mercedes sounds like his tires weren't mounted correctly. I know that hankook put the red dot on there for a reason and people ignore it and road Force balance them. It says right on their website do not wrote force balance use the dots. And a mechanic get pissed at me tell me the tires had flat spots I asked him to put the red dots where they're supposed to go. He got mad at me said he'll figure he'll do it but he doesn't want to work on my car anymore. And what do you know! All the shake and shimmy went away

The catch is that Toyota was saying this years ago. In 5 years they'll be 3 years away from these amazing new batteries, just like how in 2017 they were working on these batteries for 2022.
Scotty, can you promote the manufacturers unifying the standard for the shape and connector size for these batteries…then we get as many in the tray as we need for the mission we drive, can easily replace poor performing batteries, install new tech as it comes along, have many battery manufacturers compete, install after the car is shipped/transported (ship fire #2), potentially change out or rent on long hauls…and on and on…. this needs attention by influencers like you….

Why haven’t hydrogen cars been developed to be used , no emissions, just water, maybe the Hindenburg explosion is a big discouraging factor

With the amount of times something has come out that will "destroy" Tesla, you'd think Tesla would be gone by now. Instead, their stock is up 150% YTD. Wishful thinking is not reality on this one.

Oh nooo. Not another tesla killer. Up until a few months ago toyota was in total denial of electric cars. Now they're going to have a 700 mile battery. Scottie, you can do better.
