When the facts go mainstream as to the carbon footprint the batteries leave hopefully people will come to their senses and just not buy these EV’s.
Toyota TMMC cambridge plant here, were not going out of business lol, we cant keep up with orders and all 3 of our plants have been working non stop (when we have parts) and are still months behind, we not going anywhere
You are correct in saying that toyota will go bust, my guess would be by the end of the decade, they just aren't transitioning fast enough. Ford had a better chance than GM but tesla will still lead for at least the next 10 years in my opinion. The model y will be the best selling vehicle in the world next year. It's better to have a few compelling and well engineered vehicles than a whole lot that just got chucked together. Tesla does and will have the edge for a few more years to come. The profit margin tesla has on their vehicles is almost double that of any other manufacturer.
Sometimes older automatic transmissions might last long like a manual transmission. So EVs must get a manual transmission, to improve the range.

Toyota will make good EV and other firms will go out of busnies. Elons tesla will be first. They even let him have market for 10 years, now that is over.
I just sold my Nissan leaf and bought a Toyota Prius phv/prime. Here in the uk the price per kw of electricity is 30p and set to almost double again in October. If this happens its going to be more expensive to run a electric car than a combustion one, and that's if you can even afford one. The cheapest one available new is a mg and to be honest I had a look at it at a dealership and thought it was cheaply made garbage.

Golly, you poor Americans, $4.54 per US gallon. We lucky Aussies were paying $7.86 per US gallon, or $2.08 per litre.
