ViperOmen says:

So that’s what’s causing the shaking on my car when every I stop at a red light or just a stop sign the car shakes a whole lot more then it used too so should I just get the mounts replaced?

Wisco_ Sin says:

Had a 6-speed Black Vibe that I loved so much!!! It was my second vibe, but first manual. Went through some hard times during the pandemic and sold it for way too cheap because I needed money. I have another vibe but I will forever be missing my manual 6-speed black beauty..

Patrick Zambori says:

You forgot the cloudy headlight shells, the odometer that hangs up at 299,999, door handles breaking off and door stays snapping…. Minor stuff, great cars.

Tyler DoepKer says:

The window regulators/weather stripping are a big one too. I've had to replace them on both my mother's 2003 Toyota matrix's as well as my recently obtained 2005.
The window regulator will eventually guide the window up out of place and fold/wedge the weather stripping out of place destroying it and the regulator. These often need replaced I've noticed.

Richard Morse says:

There has been a problem with leaking timing chain covers which if leaking oil a lot requires the engine to be removed which is expensive. It’s too big a job for me but thought owners and potential buyers should be aware. It may have been covered by Toyota at some point if car was taken in. Thanks, good information about the evap code.

Luke Freeland says:

All I have left is to replace my mounts and spark plugs, this car is a tank

Troy Cruikshank says:

This is really great advice. Thanks.

W BURTNEY says:

I have a 08 pontiac vibe which is a matrix under the skin . Zero issues great car.. none of the five issues.

Luky says:

I have an 03 with 270k miles and it has 3 of these problems recently, great video.

wakichunu says:

I had to change engine mounts at 175k miles

Leslie Miller says:

I have a 2009 Matrix s and it started to make a rattling sound when I put it in reverse, would you happen to know what’s causing that?

Cole Fisher says:

Bought one with an evap code for a minor leak. Tried the cheapest option of course and replaced the gas cap. No code since!

ricky v says:

Thank you for sharing these with me. I was thinking at least one of these could be a concern on this car.

I'll keep this video handy for if I ever get one of these codes or symptoms.

Are you guys a tuning shop as well?

nrm b says:

What a good video. Everything in this video is the only things ive had to adress in my 14 year old. 2007 matrix. This video confirms i can trust my mechanic and your chanel!!!!! Tnks

Minivan Tripping says:

I had a 2007 Pontiac Vibe and was so impressed by its performance and dependably! Mechanically it’s the same as the Matrix. The exterior is the only difference between the two. I’m looking to buy a new one because they run forever! I know someone that has got one that has well over 200,000 miles on it and it is still running strong! My only other choice is a Honda C-rv. It’s known for its dependability as well. But that’s it. I don’t want anything else.

Meena devi dasi says:

WOW!!! Super!! 2003, Still "smells" like a new car. Fantastic vehicle. Over 200,000 going strong. We've got engine light,,, will check the code, and the window thing. thank you
