It would be nice to have a base model with a stick. The Maverick is new. Need some time to see how well it is built.
Maverick, no question.
It generally takes a few years to work the "bugs" out of a new release. So for me, the Ford isn't in the running. Down the road, when reliability and longevity are proven it'll be a matter of what I will use the truck for. As a work truck, hauling and towing? The Toy hands down. But as an occasional hauler, the Ford will (eventually) win out. Not rocket science Scotty.

What I really want is for Toyota to make a small truck to compete with the maverick on price. If you want a similar taco its going to cost nearly twice as much. The Toyota may last twice as long but if the maverick cost less than half with MPG and pricing it seems like a wash.

Is the Ford Maverick reliable?
I just wish toyota would make a mini cheap pickup, like take a Rav4 and cut off the back and have a small utility bed with good MPG.

No electric motors period. Come on companies, stop wasting time & money on complicated, unreliable nonsense.
Until I started watching your channel, I would have said I wanted the FORD.
I went with a Ridgeline and haven't been disappointed. Like the Maverick, it is a car until I need a truck. Plus it has a lockable trunk.
