The most common reason for your Jeep’s odometer blinking is misaligned wires. This happens when you’ve replaced factory parts like radios. Here’s what you can do to fix this problem.

Perform a battery reset.
A battery reset allows your Jeep’s electronic components to reset. Here’s how to perform a battery reset:
• Open your car’s hood to access the battery. You’ll find it halfway up the driver’s side.
• Loosen the fastener for the negative battery cable and set aside the cable.
• Next, lift the protective cap from the positive battery cable and loosen its fastener. Once done, remove the positive battery cable and replace the cap.
• Loosen the battery’s mounting bracket.
• Remove the heat shield and leave the battery disconnected for an hour. After an hour, return the battery to the car and check if the blinking continues.

Perform a proxy alignment.
Alternatively, you can bring your car to the dealership for a proxy alignment. A mechanic will use software like AlfaOBD to perform a proxy alignment. Once done, let your car sit for 30 minutes before starting it. A proxy alignment usually stops the blinking.
